My artistic practice stems from a transcultural background and the experience of navigating diverse political systems, cultural spaces, and social constructs.
I explore questions of identity, power, and agency, focusing on materiality, time, and the traces of use and transience— rust, fading, layering, and decay. Early sources of inspiration include Japanese haute couture, hip hop culture and my years of living in South-East Asia.
Driven by a persistent desire to experiment with new materials, I have created a body of work across a wide variety of media,  where the figurative and abstract simultaneously reinforce  and dissolve into one another.
Political and social issues arising from the nexus of globalisation and patriarchy, alongside reflections on imperialism and capitalist neo-colonial dynamics, form a central thread throughout my recent practice.

Currently, I am exploring themes related to overconsumption and the boundaries of human self-determination, specifically the role of women historically, as a critical subject within global power dynamics.
